Japan

In February 2016, Svenja Gaubatz (manager of the Affenberg) and Lena Pflüger (scientific director of the Affenberg) travelled to Japan, the original home of our macaques. They visited the Research Primate Insitute (PRI) at the Kyoto University. Together with Prof. Michael Huffman and his students they joined an excursion to the Jigokudani Monkey Park in Nagano where wild Japanese macaques enjoy sitting in the so called „Onsens“ (hot springs).
